I you haven't already taken a tour of the city while you are staying in military housing, you can still enjoy the Cherry Blossom Festival activities and tours. The celebration continues through the end of April and there are plenty of events to enjoy. If you aren't able to attend any of the special events that are scheduled you can take a tour by land or water and see all of the beautiful trees and enjoy a lunch or dinner that is included. There is a bus tour, and several entertainment cruises. You can see all of the monuments and historical sites and take great pictures of the trees in bloom. If you are a cyclist you can take a bike tour, or try out the Segway tour. If you want a fun experience unique to DC take a tour from a pedicab. You can map your own route and get off as often as you like. If you need a specific language for the tour, you can even specify that. If your goal is photography then you can take a tour with an instructor to help you get the absolute best pictures. No matter your desire you will love the cherry blossoms this Spring!
