 If you are a runner and you will be in the DC area on September 27th, join in on a 5K run for charity.  While staying in corporate housing there will be plenty of activities to plan on.  This is a fund raising event for The German School Washington.  The event will start off with a 5K run followed by a fun run for children and will culminate in a traditional German Oktoberfest celebration. Proceeds of the event will be used to purchase new technical stage equipment (e.g. audio system, spotlights etc.). Make it a fun day and run as team with your coworkers, classmates or friends! Visit Pentagon When Staying In Corporate Housing

On the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, the Washington, DC area will hold several events to honor the victims of that tragic day and bring together people of different ages, backgrounds and faiths. This is a great opportunity to visit the Pentagon and see the special display. The memorial there commemorates the 184 lives lost in the Pentagon and on American Airlines Flight 77 during the terrorist attacks. DC Blues Fest Occurs When You Are Staying In Corporate Housing This Month

Drive Theater Event Happens When You Are Staying In Corporate Housing

 Take a trip back in time when you living in corporate housing in DC this month.  Join the fun at the Comcast Outdoor Film Festival in Rockville Maryland.  On the grounds of the old Rockville Drive-In Theater that closed in 1981 there will be movies, fun, food, inflatables and games.  The whole family will love this event. And, those who have never been to a drive in  movie will get a hoot.  Local childrens charities will benefit from the event and admission is free.  Bring blankets, lawn chairs if you don't want to sit in  your car.  The event runs August 15th -17th and begins at 5:30 pm each evening. Nation's Triathlon On Tap When You Stay In Military Housing In Washington DC

 When you are staying in military housing in Washington DC in September you may want to run the Nation's Triathlon.  This is one of most popular events in DC and for a triathlon fan this is a must. The race is on Sept. 7th, beginning at 7:00 am.   The event takes participants through the National Mall, a 1.5k swim in the Potomac River and a 40k bike course all over DC and Maryland.  The last leg is a 10k run pas the city's most historical landmarks.  At the end...... a festival with music and food, and fun.   In the two days before the race there will be events in the city related to the event such as a health fair and fitness expo.  If you want to participate you can register on the website.  If you just want to watch, check the website for the route and the times.

See The Dragon Boat Regatta When Staying In Corporate Housing

While living in corporate housing in DC in August you have a chance to see a unique annual event not seen elsewhere.  The Capital Dragon Boat Regatta takes place on August 23^rd beginning at 9:00 am at The Southwest Waterfront.This area has undergone wonderful improvements and has enhanced pedestrian access, hotels, restaurants, premium shopping, and entertainment options.  The channel is deep and still and the racing should be fast and furious. This is a family friendly event and is an open competition.  You may want to participate and anyone 12 years of age or older is welcome.  No experience is needed and there are training session available prior to the event.
