When you are staying in military housing in Washington DC in September you may want to run the Nation's Triathlon. This is one of most popular events in DC and for a triathlon fan this is a must. The race is on Sept. 7th, beginning at 7:00 am. The event takes participants through the National Mall, a 1.5k swim in the Potomac River and a 40k bike course all over DC and Maryland. The last leg is a 10k run pas the city's most historical landmarks. At the end...... a festival with music and food, and fun. In the two days before the race there will be events in the city related to the event such as a health fair and fitness expo. If you want to participate you can register on the website.
