The Lincoln Memorial was built to honor the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Built primarily by architect Henry Bacon, sculptor Daniel Chester French and painter of interior murals was Jules Guerin. It is located on the National Mall, across from the Washington Monument.
