The Washington National Cathedral is a local treasure to see when staying in military housing Washington DC

This beautiful church has been opened for services since 1912 in the chapel. The entire church, officially known as The Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul, was consecrated and completely finished in 1990. When staying in military housing Washington DC, come to see or attend a service at this local landmark. The church has been involved in many state funerals such as President Eisenhower, Reagan and Ford. The tomb of Woodrow Wilson is in the nave of the church. It is designed like its 14- century counterparts and is an architectural masterpiece.  http://www.nationalcathedral.org/about/
