When you are living in corporate housing over this Memorial Day weekend you can witness and participate in a fantastic PBS event. Free and open to the public you can be in the audience of the live performance and taping of the PBS National Memorial Day Concert. It will be held on the west lawn of the US Capitol building. Take the metro and use the Federal Center SW and the Union Station lines. The gates will open at 5:00 pm and remember you will go through a security checkpoint. So, best idea is to leave all packages at home. The concert begins at 8:00 pm and will be hosted by Gary Sinise and Joe Mantegna. This will be the only opportunity for you to hear some amazing performers and military bands, orchestra and vocalists. Hear the National Symphony Orchestra, the US Army Chorus, the US Navy Band Sea Chanters, and the US Air Force Singing Sergeants. Well known performers Jennifer Nettles, Danielle Bradbery, Jackie Evancho and Anthony Kearns will also be featured.
