Washington DC Corporate Housing and Holiday Events

When you are staying in corporate housing over the Christmas Holidays you will want to see the National Christmas Tree.  Since 1923 the United States has held a tradition of lighting the tree on the south lawn of the White House.  This year the ceremony took place on Dec. 6th.  Each year since 1954 the "Pathway of Peace" has been on display.  This is a path with 56 smaller decorated trees representing the 50 states, 5 territories and DC, surrounding the National Christmas Tree. Sponsoring organizations from each state send decorations for their tree.  The National Christmas Tree and the pathway will be open until January 1, 2014 from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm for visitors.  For more information visit this website http://dc.about.com/od/hoildaysseasonalevents/a/ChristmasTree.htm
and learn about nearby parking  and metro stations.
