Summer Solstice

Yes, summer has officially arrived this week with the occurrence of the summer solstice. This is when the sun annually reaches its farthest point north of the equator. Marking the longest day of the year, the solstice officially begins today at 1:04p.m. EST. If you live west of the Central Time Zone, it began yesterday. The summer solstice will also be followed with a spectacular full moon often referred to as a “SuperMoon”. Early risers on Sunday June 23rd will have an opportunity to see the moon at its closest distance to the earth for the year.

It’s going to be a fun summer…be sure to check out our blog regularly for more interested tips, news and info. Have a great weekend!
