Go see "Make Some Noise" at Newseum while staying in military housing in Washington DC

Right now until December, go to Newseum and enjoy the exhibit, "Make Some Noise: Students and the Civil Rights Movement". This exhibit focuses on student leaders in the early 1960's who fought segregation by making their voices heard and exercising their First Amendment rights. You can see a section of the original F.W. Woolworths lunch counter in Greensboro, where the African-American college students launched a sit-in, or the jail cell door behind which Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. penned famous "Letter From Birmingham Jail". While staying in military housing in Washington DC, check the website for all the details.
