Travel on The Train When Staying In DC Corporate or Military Housing

Here are some tips for getting around DC using the Metro. This convenient way to get around quickly can be confusing if you aren't used to traveling by train or bus.  You can get around DC, Virginia and Maryland and never hassle with cars, traffic and parking.  On my last trip there I loved to take the train to the city and get off at the station at the Smithsonian.  Using the Metrorail is safe and reliable. There are 86 stations in the area and you can get anywhere you need with this system.  Be sure to get a map and keep it with you.  Use the color coded routes and signs to keep you on the right track.  You don't have to pay at each station if you get a SmarTrip Card.  If you will be staying in military housing or corporate housing for an extended time this would be a great convenience.  Use this card for train or bus and re-load it again and again.  Never miss any of the events, attractions or excitement due to transportation issues.  See all of DC and the area while you are living in a Stay Attache residence.
